Entry Level

North Fork Lumber is looking to add to our team. The Floater position allows the selected individual to train and learn how to effectively operate many different positions throughout our exciting manufacturing process. Electrician

Candidates must be self-motivated, a conscientious team player with a positive attitude and good work history.

Essential Functions include:

  • 3-5 years experience in sawmill environment, preferred
  • Ability to work safely / understands Lock out / Tag out 
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics and drawings
  • Ability to use electrical test equipment, multi meter, megger, amp probe
  • Basic understanding of PLCs and ladder logic.
  • Ability to weld a plus but not necessary
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues independently
  • Ability to troubleshoot 240v, 120v, and 24v circuits
  • Familiar with 480v 3 phase motor starters
  • Hydraulic troubleshooting a plus
  • Knowledge of Variable Frequency Drives a plus
  • Available to work overtime and weekends

HUMAN RESOURCES/SAFETY COORDINATOR

The Human Resource/Safety Coordinator aids with and facilitates the human resource and safety processes at one location.

Essential Functions include:

  • Coordinates with hiring Team Leaders, the recruitment and selection of employees.
  • Manage all employees’ leaves of absence in accordance with Company Policy, Federal and State law. Including maintenance of leave documentation and timely notices to employees.
  • Assures that all company policies are communicated to employees, updated as necessary, posted in compliance with State and Federal mandates.
  • Performs a variety of clerical and other related duties as assigned.
