Job Description
North Fork Lumber company has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Shovel operator to join our
log yard team in Korbel, California. This is a year-round full-time benefited position that is a key and
valued member of our team. Duties of this position include the following:
Operating a Heel Boom log loader to high deck, down deck and turn logs.
Sorting logs by size and species.
Assisting unloading log trucks as needed and building preloads.
Maintaining a clean and organized log yard.
Operating water truck and dump truck as needed.
Working in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment
Candidates must have at least three years of shovel loader experience and have the skills to construct a
straight and stable log deck. Qualified operators must have the ability to distinguish between log
species and have proficiency at loading and unloading log trucks. Candidates must have a positive
attitude and enjoy working as a team. Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to pass a pre-
employment drug screening.
